On 30th Jan 2026, Painting for Charity team had the opportunity to visit a blind Ashrama ‘Sri Rajakumari Doddammaniyavara Kuruda Moogara Ashrama’ in Mysore and spent quality time with some truly amazing people. We were honored to meet individuals from the visually impaired and deaf communities, and their strength and positivity left a deep impression on us.
It was inspiring to see how they overcome challenges and live with dignity, setting a powerful example for everyone. They shared with us how they play cricket and chess, and how they communicate using Braille—it was absolutely mind-blowing! We were delighted to arrange simple dinner and small gifts for them. Thanks to members of our Karaoke group who joined hands.
What motivated us the most was learning that some of them are pursuing higher education, with a few even completing their graduation and PhD. A truly humbling and unforgettable experience.
